On a recent visit to the Walsh Yard in Tilbury to collect some Type 1 recycled aggregate I was so fascinated by the conveyor belt systems, hoppers and wash plant I asked if we could film it.
Walsh have set up this £2 million Wash Plant and spent £16 million overall to create a yard to recycle waste material from a quarry into 6 different actual sellable aggregates; 4-10mm, 10-20mm, 20-40mm, 40-75mm Granite Stone, Sand and Clay. All products that the construction industry can support to help build a more sustainable future. Watch the whole before and after process.
