Thoughts on a Relatively Expensive Tool You’ll Rarely Use

Taking a break from the regularly schedule Pro-touring build to discuss the wheel/tire fitment jig from “The Wheel Fit”. It’s not perfect, but it’s a heck of a lot better then trying to sort out all the places your tires may rub using tape measures and straight edges. If you plan to stuff the maximum stiki rbr in your wheel wells, if you’re getting expensive custom wheels made, or if you’re trying to the stance just right, you probably want this tool.

One note, I was able to address the problem with the small range of inaccessible offsets by flipping the L-brackets around, you just need to be careful to always reference the face of the brake rotor to the backspace measure regardless of how you set it up.

Mine is the two-arm model suitable for 4 & 5 bolt hubs with wheel diameters from 14-20”. I got mine from Sam at Strano Performance Parts.
