This week’s Euro Football Daily is focused mainly on one man. Lionel Messi has left Barcelona and is now on a hunt for a new club, and we all expect that to be PSG, who will be paying him some €40M a year. But that hasn’t stopped Barca fans from a last second lawsuit to prevent the deal going forward, saying PSG’s finances are actually worse than their own. Unlikely to work, we’re likely to see the Eiffel Tower lit up when Messi completes his switch to Paris. Mauro Icardi could be on the way out as his gametime continues to fall with the GOAT in town - Roma are interested in him as they expect to see their leading man, Edin Dzeko, head to Inter Milan for a nominal fee. Inter are also linked with Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and Man Utd’s Anthony Martial but they could be too pricey considering the Nerazzurri’s finances are in the mud. Finally, Brazilian Olympic hero Matheus Cunha could be trading Hertha Berlin for Leeds United, or Atalanta - depends whether he wants European football or not. Enjoy!
