President Cyril Ramaphosa has asked the Gauteng High Court to halt any further steps by former President Jacob Zuma to privately prosecute him. Ramaphosa argues that the summons issued by Zuma for him to appear before the court on 19 January is unlawful, unconstitutional and should be set aside. Zuma has charged the President with being an accessory to a crime after the fact. At the same time, the ANC electoral committee has now responded to a complaint lodged against party president Cyril Ramaphosa and the national chairperson Gwede Mantashe, over results of the recently held 55th National Conference.
