Hi everyone, today we are discussing concrete and architecture on different scales.
After water, concrete is the most widely used substance on the planet but concrete produces 0.81 tons of CO2 per 1 ton of cement. Visionary architects shaped concrete into more adventurous forms. “There is no reason to design buildings that are more basic and rectilinear because with concrete you can cover almost any space.” So, the world will need concrete to build structures that can cope with climate change and population growth. Sustainable improvement, concrete optimization, and development are necessary.
That is why I’m pursuing this research from starting hand size scale to human scale and maybe one-day city scale. In this shelter house design, the aim was to design a sophisticated and modern concrete home. We were also able to develop concrete house construction solutions and concrete designs on a large scale without worrying about the carbon footprint. Together we will create sustainable, simple, and beautiful environments. With concrete, the possibilities are limitless. Atelier House is a unique concrete house design example that is suitable for this case.
