A tasty tomato rasam recipe. Usually we prepare rasam by cooking toor dal with water. In this recipe the main flavour of toor dal comes from frying the toor dal and adding it as Masala. The other thing is we cook tomatoes as whole and smash them. If few changes made in Masala, gives different tastes to rasam or any curries.
Ingredients :
Coconut oil 5sp
Toor dal 5sp
Pepper 1sp
Dry red chilli 4
Methi 1/2sp
Coriender seeds 1sp
Jeera 1/2sp
Hing
Turmeric powder 1/2sp
Curry leaves
Tomato 3
Green chilli 1 optional
Salt to taste
Jaggery
Ginger 1piece
Coriender leaves
Mustard seeds
Dry red chilli
Curry leaves
