Nigeria’s Exclusion From U.S Religious Offenders List, CAN Reacts - Trending With Ojy Okpe

Afrobeats Super Star, #Davido made headlines over the weekend after pledging the sum of N200 million Naira; the money he received from his recent fundraiser, and an additional N50 million Naira to orphanages across the country. In a video message posted on his Instagram page, Davido thanked those who supported the initiative and says he plans to hold the fundraiser annually to mark his birthday.

The #ChristianAssociationofNigeria has reacted to the United States decision to remove Nigeria from the list of countries blacklisted for engaging in violation of religious freedom. In a statement, the associations, national president “#SamsonAyokunle, said Christians all over Nigeria, are still facing persecution from terrorist groups whose agenda is to wipe away Christianity from Nigeria, and to plant Islam as the only religion from the North down to the Atlantic Ocean in the South.

In an inspiring twist of events, #ZainabAliyuKila, a Nigerian lady, who was detained in Saudi Arabia in 2018, for alleged drug trafficking, has joined the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. Zainab, who was a student of the Maitama Sule University, in Kano state, had traveled to Saudi Arabia for a lesser hajj alongside her mother and sister when she was nabbed over allegations that a “bag” belonging to her contained illicit drugs. Her arrest had led to the discovery of an alleged drug cartel at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, the group reportedly transferred her excess luggage into the bag that contained the illicit drug. After spending 124 days in prison, Zainab was released after the intervention of the Nigerian government,.. the #NDLEA, and civil society organizations…Zainab participated in the passing-out parade ceremony from the NDLEA academy which took place last Friday in #Plateaustate And is now one of the newly trained narcotics officers.
