DO NOT ALLOW NEWCASTLE ON YOUR POULTRY FARM
ND Lasota vaccine is administered to prevent Newcastle disease infestation on your poultry farm, there are several reasons why vaccine fails, part of it are wrong application, viability of the vaccine due to problem with the cold chain and handling amongst others. This video is focused on how to administer the vaccine to your birds with the following procedures:
* First of all, withdraw water from the flock for 1-2hrs
* Get you adequate clean water ready
* Purchase your vaccine from a reputable vendor and ensure it is well packed in a cooler with ice
* Open the seal, dissolve the bottled powder content and shake well.
* Pour out into the water and then mix thoroughly
* You can mix skimmed milk with the water to improve the water quality, do not use milk that contain fat because the vaccine will not mix thoroughly.
* Then you can serve your vaccine, by then birds will be thirsty.
PRECAUTIONS
* Ensure all your birds take out of the water
* Please note that, if you are double dosing, you do not necessarily have to double the quantity of water to be used. The same quantity of water for single dose is just fine for double dose.
* Ensure you have your disinfectant water on standby in case of spillage while serving your vaccine
* Avoid consumable vaccine contact with disinfectant
* Dispose remnant of vaccine properly at the end of the exercise, (45mins-1hr)
* Do not Combine water sanitizer that has chlorine with vaccine as a matter of fact, stop administering 24hrs before day of vaccination and 24-48hrs after vaccine has Been administered.
