Imagine you wake up in a room with a dead body and blood all over your hands. You have no recollection of what happened as you look all around you. You can either call the police and hope there's an explanation for this that doesn't involve you getting life without parole. Or, you can get rid of the evidence, and fast. If you hypothetically pick the second option, what are some of the ways to get rid of a body?
Disposal of dead bodies takes various forms. It includes burials, cremation, and entombment. But are there other ways of disposing of dead bodies? Why not just leave them be and let nature take its course?
The process of decay may look like a disease, but the bacteria found in dead bodies are the same ones that exist in the living. There are just a lot more of them. You see, while dying may be undesirable or inconvenient for us, it’s a big party for our inner microbes.
By-products of the bacterial boom cause cadavers to bloat and stink and generally upset the senses of the living, but there’s nothing uniquely dangerous in there. It’s not that corpses are completely clean and cuddly and should be stored on your kitchen countertop. No way José! But the main risk they pose is basically the same one posed by living bodies – they can pollute the water. Bacteria in the water supply can cause digestive system illness. Possible groundwater contamination is the major health threat of improper disposal of bodies.
So, back to our hypothetical situation - how would you get rid of the mess you've just woken up to find? We did some research around the Internet and present to you some legal and not so legal ways of going about it.
