while i cannot speak on behalf of the millions of individual cases of post traumatic stress disorder, the portrayal of this condition has run rampant in the film industry. it is necessary to analyze this media to see just how accurate of a depiction it is of reality. and among all the vain attempts, it is keen to keep an eye out for stories that go down the road not taken, stories that avoid every trope in hopes of creating something more real than its predecessors.
