LIVE: NSW records 1,542 cases of COVID-19 and nine deaths | ABC News

NSW recorded 1,542 locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday. It’s a new daily record for an Australian jurisdiction. There were nine COVID-19 deaths in the reporting period.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the state’s daily 11:00am COVID-19 press conferences will cease from Monday.

Instead, NSW Health staff will deliver video updates and politicians will “intermittently hold press conferences as required”.
