Nihal Sarin and Praggnanandhaa have been extremely impressive for Team India on the Junior boy board of the Online Olympiad 2021. While Nihal Sarin scored 2.0/2 (overall 6.0/6), Pragg scored 1.0/1 against Ukraine in the quarter finals. We ask them both about their games.
There are couple of points in this interview which are quite remarkable:
1. Nihal's truthfulness and him feeling uncomfortable that his opponent's internet was bad. He mentions, he would have offered a draw if it was not a team event!
2. Pragg showing a variation which he had thought during the game and Nihal instantly showing a beautiful move to refute it.
These two are gems of Indian chess and it is always a pleasure to have them both in one frame!
