This is a very good functional home and office surge protector, at 3780 joules, it is at the high end of protection. I never trusted "warranties for the paper they aren't written on. Please see my video for highlights of the design that I appreciated the most.
Surge Protectors are all rated by Joules. Joules is your estimate of how much of a daily spike can occur in your system. A cheap bar normally protects around 500 joules, this one is rates 3780 Joules.
But you thought it was a for a direct hit by the electrical spike of a Lightning strike hitting your house or office? Shopping around Amazon, you find one that rates 6,000 Joules. A lightning bolt contains 1 billion or so joules. So by time it burns through all the wiring of your house and reaches your surge protector, how many is left? Will your protector melt quicker than the surge can reach your precious equipment?
