Speaker - Tony Hopkin

Tony Hopkin is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Construction Manager, Chartered Building Engineer, a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers as well as the Chartered Institute of Building.

He has held roles at academic institutions, a contractor, a warranty provider and building control body, and a housing association as a researcher, lecturer, general manager, consultant, and currently as Head of Construction and Quality at Midland Heart.

Tony has a keen interest quality and has a doctorate in defects, he’s published on the subject of construction quality in leading journals, industry publications, and has spoken at national and international conferences.

In addition, Tony provides CPD seminars for professional bodies, is a peer reviewer for journals, undertakes interviews for professional bodies; is a British Standards Institution committee member; member of CABE’s Membership Professional Standards Committee; and, sits on a number of other industry groups.
