I was fortunate enough to appear on Sohom's channel, 'A Psych For Sore Minds', and we've done another collab talking about forensic psychiatry. This is the medical specialty that focuses on the treatment of mental illness in people who have offended, usually in prisons or secure hospitals. There are so many Netflix documentaries about high profile cases and lots of interest in the true crime genre as a whole, but this also means there are lots of myths out there. We talk about the realities of the specialties, and compare our thoughts about what medicine does well and where it needs to improve.
