The stock market crash talks have been in the news for a while. Inflation & other concerns are the continued talks in 2021 when it comes to the stock market crash or stock market correction. However, an article I read thinks we MAY NOT see a correction in 2021.
This article talked about a few interesting points that could make us think a 10% correction may not be occurring soon.
First off, a lot of investors are still in the "wealth accumulation stage". This means they are wanting to BUY more shares. They want to BUY the dips. At least 4 times in 2021 stock S&P 500 has had a decline of 3%, each time, the market has recovered. Each time the market has rebounded & reached higher highs. Because people are in this wealth accumulation stage, they are buying the dips. When they see the 3% decline, they buy, instead of selling.
Secondly, the inflows of ETFs are insane for 2021. In all of 2020, ETFs saw an inflow of $497 BILLION. That was a record. Now, halfway in 2021, ETFs have seen an inflow of $486 BILLION. We are already about to surpass 2020, in JULY!
Lastly, this article covered some different perspectives from financial analysts. The takeaway: NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THE MARKET IS GOING TO DO. Some analysts say we will see the correction or crash soon, while others say we won't see it in 2021.
At the end of the day, it is up to YOU to make your own conclusion based on all the information you research!
